Approximately 200 children and adolescents die of cancer each year in our state, making this devastating disease the most common cause of illness-related mortality for Texans 0-19 years of age. This is a sad reality we are battling to change
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 27, 2015
Calloway Insurance in Dallas, TX announced the debut of its charity program designed to benefit the local community. The agency will work closely with nonprofit organizations in the area to nominate a new beneficiary every 60 days. The idea is to create a campaign to help the elected individual, family or programs with immediate support by bringing awareness to those very important causes.
To launch the program, Alanna Calloway, the agency’s principal, inspired by a local family's story, has chosen to introduce Raising Hope to Cure Child Cancer. Ashley was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia and has been battling the disease since she was 3 years old. The campaign’s mission is to work together with the community towards a more hopeful future by supporting endowment programs targeted for childhood cancer research.
“Ashley is 1 of almost 1,200 children and adolescents younger than 20 years of age diagnosed with cancer annually in Texas. Approximately 200 children and adolescents die of cancer each year in our state, making this devastating disease the most common cause of illness-related mortality for Texans 0-19 years of age. This is a sad reality we are battling to change,” said Alanna Calloway, founder and President of Calloway Insurance.
Each new cause showcased by the agency will accompany a detailed full story about the elected cause on a designated donations page. To join Calloway Insurance in supporting Raising Hope to Cure Child Cancer donors are encouraged to visit the donations page at http://www.razoo.com/story/Raising-Hope-To-Fight-Child-Cancer?referral_code=sw and share it with their friends and family through social media and email.
With the newly launched program, Calloway Insurance takes responsibility for promoting that page through its many channels, to include its own database of thousands of customers, business partners, staff, neighbors and friends.
The agency also owns a monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine, which reserves a full page featuring the campaign of the chosen cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue of the magazine can be accessed here: http://callowayinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.
