My Positive Perspective Broadcasts Episode With Carolina Children’s Charity
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- On March 10, 2015, My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein interviewed Sonja Beale of Carolina Children’s Charity about this year’s annual firefighter boot drive. As the interview began, Deierlein asked Beale, “How has this organization been able to help children with birth defects since 1987?” Beale replies, “Sure, I have been the executive director of Carolina Children’s Charity since 2006, and our mission is to help children of the lowcountry with birth defects and childhood diseases. We assist the family through a grant process and cover items that are medically beneficiary to them.” Beale continues, “Medications, therapies, special diets are some examples of this.”
Deierlein then says, “Great, these are things that give children hope, and that is something that all children deserve to have.” Beale replies, “Carolina Children’s Charity was started in part by a group of firefighters and we rely on them for some of our funding.” Deierlein then says, “This time of year is the firefighter’s boot drive. How does your organization benefit from that?” Beale replies, “Firefighters ask passing cars to fill up their boots with change they can donate. The money that is collected is used to fund much of this assistance that the Carolina Children’s Charity provides.”
My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges through positive thinking.
