Duterte Insurance Group Launches Charity Drive to Provide Ongoing Funding for Children’s Advocacy Center
Laredo, TX (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- Duterte Insurance Group, a locally owned insurance firm that serves the greater Laredo area, is launching a join charity effort with the Children’s Advocacy Center with the goal of gathering donations that will be used to support local children who are victims of abuse and domestic violence.
Since 2007, the Children’s Advocacy Center has treated more than 7,000 young people who have suffered from domestic abuse, violence, and broken homes. By creating a safe and secure venue, the Children’s Advocacy Center has been a beacon of hope for children throughout Laredo and beyond, providing protection, shelter and a full range of rehabilitation services in a state of the art facility, thanks largely to the generosity of the Lamar Bruni Vergara Trust.
“Ensuring that the Children’s Advocacy Center stays open, staffed, and fully funded is our solemn mission,” says Keefe Duterte, the owner of Duterte Insurance Group. “The donations we’re helping to raise for the Children’s Advocacy Center will be used to create and sustain a safe and secure environment for the young people in our community who need it most.”
Drawing on an extensive network of personal and professional contacts, the Duterte Insurance team is reaching out to fellow community members, clients, and associates in an effort to publicize the importance of continued funding for the Children’s Advocacy Center. A referral program has already been initiated, and Duterte is establishing an online presence via social media to spread the word all across Texas and beyond. “Granting shelter and restoring hope to local young people is what the Children’s Center is all about, and we’re blessed to be part of that effort,” says Duterte.
In addition to gathering funding for the Children’s Advocacy Center, Duterte Insurance Group is hard at work supporting a number of other local charities in Laredo, and plans to support more charities over the comings months are already underway.
