Confidence Plus Insurance Announces Charity Drive to Support Music Program for Stockton Students
Stockton, CA (PRWEB) October 09, 2015 -- Confidence Plus Insurance has just celebrated the one year anniversary of their “Agents of Change” program, a community improvement initiative that involves working with a series of local charities throughout the California Central Valley. The newest charity to benefit from the assistance of Confidence Plus Insurance is the Gleason Park Electric Violin Ensemble (GPEVE).
GPEVE provides a series of inspiring musical programs that encourage children to explore artistic outlets rather than joining gangs or using drugs, resulting in their motto “Violins not Violence.” The goal of GPEVE is to heighten positive improvement in the academic performance of participating students, build self-esteem, and encourage teamwork as students learn to play an electric violin as part of a group ensemble that performs at exhibitions throughout the Stockton community. As a non-profit organization, GPEVE is reliant on the generosity of donors.
“GPEVE gives our children a compelling alternative to drugs and violence, allowing them to concentrate on academics rather than exploring destructive behaviors,” explains Dean Shibler, owner and principal of Confidence Plus Insurance. “Gangs area a real and present danger in the Stockton area, and GPEVE is precisely the kind of program our community needs to break the cycle of violence.”
Mobilizing a large network of personal and professional contacts throughout the California Central Valley, Shibler and the Confidence Plus team are reaching out to families, teachers, business owners, and community members from Lodi to Modesto in an effort to gather support and donations for GPEVE. The Confidence Insurance team is hard at work constructing an online social media page that they predict will draw in even more support from families throughout California and beyond.
