Chinese Electric Unicycles Aim for Green Revolution in Eco Friendly Transportation
Shenzhen, Guangdong (PRWEB) December 29, 2014 -- Expanding into the growing rideables market is proving fruitful for China gadgets wholesaler, Chinavasion. PR Manager Rose Li says, “The demand is being driven by young trend setters who look and think very differently from traditional consumers.”
“The early adopters of this technology are a mixture of students and young professionals looking for fun, easy to use transportation that's more convenient, economical and crucially much cheaper that the electric bikes or hybrid car alternatives,” says Ms Li.
Research from around the globe shows mankind has to adopt a different approach towards transportation. With a global urban population of about 3.8 billion, which is set to reach over 6 billion by the middle of this century, personal car ownership isn’t a realistic option for everyone. “The youth of today are environmentally aware and for them, Chinavasion is working hard to make affordable and eco-friendly alternatives for transportation available.” said Ms. Li.
Chinavasion's electric unicycle products are called ‘Uni-Wheels’ and part of the outdoor gadgets category. They are highly affordable and offer early adopters of this technology great fun and convenience whether used for commuting or just recreation.
The China gadget wholesaler states that the XR-3 and XR-6 models can travel at up to 11 mph (18 km/h) and carry loads up to 264 lbs (120 kg) for distances of about 12.5 miles (20 km). "They can be charged from any standard plug socket in just 2.5 hours and are a fraction of the cost of an electric bike or car. Thus, perfect for people traveling short to medium distances,” says Ms Li.
Some gadget lovers worry about their skills, but Li says, “They may look hard to ride, but can be mastered in a relatively short time. If you can ride a bike there’s no reason why you can’t learn to use an electric unicycle.”
Besides manufacturing driven innovations, constant feedback from a growing community is also resulting in better designs with greater functions. Ms Li says, “The latest models from Chinavasion include cool features, such as UBS charging ports for mobile phones, built in Bluetooth speakers so you can listen to music while riding and even colorful LED lights making it easier to show off and also improve visibility and safety.”
Rose Li says, “Chinavasion is breaking down the barriers to cheap and affordable transport making it easier to join the green revolution because with the current climate concerns we can’t afford to rely on the alternatives.” Chinavasion now has over six portable electronic transportation methods for recreational use or commuting and with express worldwide shipping can send nearly anywhere around the globe.
