Building Completion and Interior Design Industry Research Report – Now Available from IBISWorld
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2013 -- Over the past five years, revenue for the Building Completion and Interior Design industry in China has been increasing at an annualized rate of 10.3% to $488.6 billion in 2013, says IBISWorld. Household and public building completion and decoration services are the industry's major service segments, with curtain wall decoration accounting for only a small proportion of industry revenue. Design services are a relatively new revenue source for the industry.
China's household disposable income levels continue to rise, resulting in increased expenditure on private home renovations and interior decoration. China's ongoing urbanization process also stimulates demand for the industry, with many government buildings being constructed in second-tier cities.
Most of the companies in the Building Completion and Interior Design industry are privately owned and small in scale. The four largest industry participants – Gold Mantis Construction Decoration, Zhejiang Yasha Decoration, Shenzhen Grandland Decoration Group, and China State Construction Engineering Corporation – account for just 1.6% of industry revenue in 2013, says IBISWorld.
Industry concentration varies across different service segments, however. The public building completion and decoration segment is more concentrated because it generally has higher requirements for design and construction skills. The majority of small companies in this industry focus on household decoration and completion projects in local markets, says IBISWorld.
