Chloe Campbell marks her debut in the world of literature with “The Book of Opposites.” Peopled by a cast of indelibly characterized men and women, this stunning novel explores the duality of human nature and what it means to live and love in a hostile world bound by unyielding laws.

“The Book of Opposites” unfolds in a small village by the sea in the breathtaking county of Cornwall. It is here that Rachel Fairchild struggles to meet ends meet for her family. After her husband passed away from cancer, Rachel is left to care for their two children. Her life seems simple, even mundane but all that changes when she meets David Milligan.

David is a young catholic priest. When he crosses paths with the widow, the two inexplicably and irrevocably fall in love. Against all odds, the two dare to embark on a passionate, albeit illicit, affair. But will their love last in the midst of unwavering tradition and a society that simply will not allow it?

Campbell the poignant and evocative narrator gives voice to her characters’ hopes and fears and their loves and losses. All throughout, she lets readers examine universal themes of love, death, obsession and destiny. All at once beautiful, tragic and compelling, “The Book of Opposites” is a must read for fans of the romance genre.
