Chordant Renews its Agreement with Crown Commercial Service for G-Cloud 11
oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace and data integration services are available now across the UK through CCS newest G-Cloud 11 framework
LONDON, July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Chordant today announced that it has renewed its agreement to continue offering its oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace to public sector customers throughout the UK via the newest G-Cloud 11. A government framework between the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and suppliers, G-Cloud is a marketplace for cloud-based services.
The oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace is a cloud-based platform that allows organisations across the UK public sector -- including central and local governments and transport services -- to access previously isolated and inaccessible data about the real-time operation of towns and cities and their transport and mobility services. By opening their data in a platform such as this, local governments can gain new insights, improve decisions and build intelligent services that significantly improve citizen life.
"We have been working for several years now with Regional Transport agencies and authorities across the UK utilising the capabilities of the oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace," said Mika Rasinkangas, president of Chordant. "We're delighted to leverage G-Cloud, which helps deliver substantial savings for the public sector and the taxpayer through their streamlined procurement and commercial arrangements."
Chordant has also made its data integration services available through G-Cloud. These services help organisations integrate their systems, sensors and data. Chordant offers such services for public sector organisations where such expertise may not naturally exist, be accessible on short notice, or where data may involve very diverse data systems, formats, and granularity. For the same reasons, Chordant offers data visualisation services through this agreement which facilitates faster insights from the available data.
CCS's vision is to deliver value for the nation through outstanding commercial capability and quality customer service. Its procurement arrangements can be used by central government departments and organisations across the public sector including local government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administrations.
This agreement is fully EU compliant, saving customers the time and money associated with conducting their own procurement exercise. Through the competitive tender process and regular benchmarking, CCS ensures customers have access to the most competitive deals. Suppliers are carefully evaluated during the tender process and pre-agreed terms and conditions offer sound contractual safeguards.
