Wholesale gift company appoints Katie Hampton to its National Sales Manager position, a new position created in response to the company's rapid growth

Mary Square, a wholesale gift company, recently appointed Katie Hampton to its new National Sales Manager position in order to accommodate rapid growth within the company.

Kelly Shiley, President, says Hampton's new position was created in response to the stellar growth that Mary Square has seen in its sales recently.

"We created the position because we’re growing rapidly across the country," Shiley says. "We’ve added a lot of new sales reps, so we need someone to manage them. Katie immediately stood out as the best candidate for the job."

Hampton, who has been with Mary Square on a part-time basis since the company was created in 2011, has an in-depth knowledge of the company's products that makes her qualified for the National Sales Manager position. As a result, her promotion was a natural choice.

"She has been selling for the company since day one and has been working every trade show for us for the past four and a half years," Shiley says. "She has in-depth product knowledge and knows all our sales representatives because she’s been to all of the trade shows we've attended. Our sales reps had actually expressed a need to have access to her full-time for any questions, training, etc., so it was a natural progression to promote her to this position."

In addition to traveling to all the major trade shows for the gift manufacturing market, Hampton's new responsibilities include managing the company's sales representatives, overseeing all inside sales, assisting with product development and conducting product research.

Hampton's first trade show as National Sales Manager will be the Atlanta Fall Gift and Home Furnishings Market from September 16 to 18.

Shiley explains. "This is the last show before Christmas, which means it's the last opportunity to get everything in before the holiday."

Shiley says she believes Hampton's new promotion will allow her to help Mary Square continue to grow and thrive.
