Life is crazy busy and we have gotten away from just relaxing and enjoying the company of our kids. This book gives people hope to let go of their fears and try something different if they are drawn to.
LOGAN, Ohio (PRWEB) June 06, 2017
Inspired by her own journey with her family moving around the world for a year, Christy Richards wrote “Taking a Year Off” (published by Balboa Press), a travel book that offers information for anyone considering moving abroad for a year with children.
“Taking a Year Off” starts in the U.S. then to Sitges, Spain, for six months, then to Italy, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Belguim, France, England, Ireland, Africa, Mexico and Belize. Richards covers the initial planning to the experience abroad, the adventures and misadventures, and the lessons learned. Richards shares how her daughter Nicole and she had trying times from the mother-daughter standpoint and how they overcame to forge a deeper bond. The book is also a travel guide filled with tips throughout and touches on how meditation and spirituality helped keep Richards better able to handle the ever-changing travel plans.
“In today’s society I believe many families are caught up in the day to day grind, getting the kids off to school and evenings and weekends filled with kids sporting events or school functions,” Richards says. “Life is crazy busy and we have gotten away from just relaxing and enjoying the company of our kids. This book gives people hope to let go of their fears and try something different if they are drawn to.”
