Cigar Advisor Publishes Article on Truth and Myth Behind Cuban Cigars
Easton, PA (PRWEB) September 08, 2013 -- The all-new Cigar Advisor is an online cigar magazine that brings a fresh, irreverent, and down-to-earth perspective on all things cigars to thousands of smokers. In addition to educational cigar content and behind-the-scenes cigar industry articles from some of the business’s top names, Cigar Advisor delivers an array of content about a variety of topics of interest to people who enjoy the cigar lifestyle. The magazine also features cigar reviews and ratings submitted by real smokers. Cigar Advisor has just published “My Experience with a Cuban Cigar” to their Cigars 101 section, giving a look at why Cuban cigars are so highly regarded.
Jonathan DeTore, Cigar Advisor’s Junior Copywriter, believes the Cuban cigar is often viewed as the pinnacle of all cigars. “This may not be entirely true,” he writes, but notes in his piece how the traditions and legacy the Cuban cigar industry created has greatly impacted the cigar industry as a whole.
Cuba, Jon says, is quite possibly the Mecca of all tobacco and is the birthplace of the modern cigar. “Every cigar smoker dreams about getting his or her hands on a great Cuban cigar to smoke during a special day such as a wedding, a day they got promoted, or even the day they retire. Every cigar we smoke comes from the traditions Cuba has put in place to create the ultimate form of relaxation giving us cause to honor the time honored traditions Cuba has bestowed upon the industry.” So it’s no wonder, he thinks, why Cuban cigars are synonymous to a gold bar to cigar enthusiasts.
Having sampled a few for the sake of research, DeTore remarked that each legitimate Cuban cigar gives a smoker an abundance of flavor for relaxation and enjoyment, thanks to unique tobaccos that are grown in few other places in the world. “Instead of focus on their embargo status in America, we should instead think about what Cuba means to the cigar industry. Each cigar we smoke holds Cuban traditions of blending and construction. Because of the legacy Cuba has created, other cigar producing nations such as the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras have followed their lead.” And it’s from learning this rich history, says Jon, that non-Cuban cigar producing nations have been able to create some of the most unique and flavorful blends to hit the market.
