Rocky Patel takes Cigar Advisor readers on a smoker's tour of London

Rocky Patel stars in the role of tour guide as he takes readers to some of London's most elegant hotels, oldest bars, hippest restaurants, and of course, where people can smoke in a city with one of the strictest smoking bans in Europe.

The all-new Cigar Advisor Magazine is an online cigar magazine that brings a fresh, irreverent, and down-to-earth perspective on all things cigars to thousands of smokers. In addition to educational cigar content and behind-the-scenes cigar industry articles from some of the business’s top names, Cigar Advisor delivers an array of content about a variety of topics of interest to people who enjoy the cigar lifestyle. The magazine also features cigar reviews and ratings submitted by real smokers. Cigar Advisor Magazine has published a new article for this month's feature section, entitled “Keys to the City: London.” Rocky Patel stars in the role of tour guide as he takes readers to some of London's most elegant hotels, oldest bars, hippest restaurants, and of course, where people can smoke in a city with one of the strictest smoking bans in Europe. The tour begins in The American Bar at The Stafford Hotel.

“A great spot to smoke cigars,” writes Rocky. “They have a great wine menu and the terrace is well-heated for those chilly London winter nights. Friendly 5-Star service and a laid back atmosphere combine for a good place to grab one of their fantastic Vespers with your cigar for the evening.”

Those who like an authentic 1920's prohibition-era feel can go to The Cigar Terrace at the recently refurbished Wellesley Hotel, home to one of London's most historic jazz clubs.

“The unique décor, including a great portrait of Winston Churchill (painted on tobacco leaves!), big comfy leather chairs, and a quirky selection of luxury cocktails make this a stunning and unique experience,” says Rocky.

Readers will also discover two distinctive places to eat: Cuba Libre, a Cuban restaurant in Islington that's so authentic, patrons have to remind themselves that they're in London, and Amaya, an elegant Indian restaurant in London's Belgravia district.

Rocky also touches on some of the better bars and pubs, including The White Horse, among others. For those who want to smoke Cuban cigars, there's J.J. Fox & Robert Lewis Tobacconists, who have served London's most exclusive clientele for over 200 years.
