Cigar Advisor Publishes Beginner's Guide to Cigar Storage
Easton, PA (PRWEB) October 13, 2013 -- The all-new Cigar Advisor Magazine is an online cigar magazine that brings a fresh, irreverent, and down-to-earth perspective on all things cigars to thousands of smokers. In addition to educational cigar content and behind-the-scenes cigar industry articles from some of the business’s top names, Cigar Advisor delivers an array of content about a variety of topics of interest to people who enjoy the cigar lifestyle. The magazine also features cigar ratings and reviews submitted by real smokers. Cigar Advisor Magazine has published a new article by contributor Bryan Glynn, entitled "Cigar Storage Options, from Soup to Nuts." Written as a beginner's guide, Glynn reports on the wealth of storage options available to today's cigar smoker, ranging from small makeshift solutions to high-end furniture pieces.
Wherever a cigar smoker falls on the spectrum - occasional dabbler, hobbyist, serious enthusiast, or full-out cigar nut - he needs a place to store his cigars. Glynn writes, "[N]ot everyone is going to smoke cigars regularly, so spending dozens or hundreds of dollars for the bare essentials doesn't always make sense." For this level of cigar smoker, Glynn recommends an airtight container, such as a plastic zipper bag or food container, coupled with an inexpensive humidification solution.
As Glynn points out, many cigar smokers soon find themselves in need of a more permanent solution. For this level of cigars smoker, he recommends desktop humidors, which "come in all shapes, sizes, and sources." As a rule of thumb, Glynn recommends buying "twice as large as you think you need, especially since most product descriptions woefully overestimate the storage capacity."
For a less-expensive large-scale storage option, he recommends so-called "coolerdors" or "winedadors," which are crafted from thermal food coolers and converted wine refrigerators, respectively. Directions for optimizing each can be found online.
Lastly, Glynn covers the most expensive options, which include "furniture-grade storage such as coffee tables" as well as "pre-made or custom cabinet[s]."
