City of Sedona, AZ Broadcasts Public Meetings in HD Video
DALLAS (PRWEB) July 23, 2019 -- The City of Sedona is now broadcasting their programming in HD video with Swagit’s Avior™ hands-free video streaming® and broadcast solutions. In addition, the City has provided residents with enhanced and real-time citizen engagement with Swagit’s Sound Search™, Social Media eXstream, and a Playback365 24/7 livestream.
Sedona’s City Council, Board, Commission, and Committee meetings are streamed live on the Sedona City website as well as on Cable TV channel 4. Meeting videos are indexed by the final meeting agenda, and all are archived for accessible on-demand viewing or listening. Once a meeting video is archived, the on-demand index feature allows viewers to choose which meeting agenda items or conversations they wish to watch, and then jump directly to that specific point within the video. Viewers are also able to download meeting video files for agenda points within videos, or share links to those points.
With Sedona’s new Sound Search feature, residents are able to search for and locate specific words used within agenda items; clicking a positive search result will take the viewer to the exact agenda location within a meeting. By adding Swagit’s Social Media eXstream service, the City will also be able to livestream events and meetings to Facebook or YouTube.
“The City of Sedona's dedication to future-proofing their public meeting streaming and broadcast systems proves that they are prioritizing citizen engagement,” said David Owusu, Swagit’s Director of Streaming Media. “Sedona's public meeting webcasts create a real-time and a high-quality direct link between the City’s elected officials and the public."
