The full report is available http://www..brinv.com/l/8182/2014-03-11/3kg7zh [here __title__ ] compliments of Blue Ridge.
According to Gartner, A SCP System of Record includes demand planning, inventory planning, replenishment planning, available to promise, manufacturing planning and scheduling, and collaborative planning capabilities.
“We are extremely pleased to be named to Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning since 2010. We have always strived to deliver precision and visibility in planning that directly improves our customers’ bottom-line,” stated Greg White, CEO at Blue Ridge. “We believe the market is recognizing Cloud, demand-driven planning as the ‘go-to’ approach for holistic, profit-optimizing solutions. The ability to predict conditions far in advance, to collaborate within the enterprise, and with outside trading partners is integral to the success of today’s companies.”
Gartner’s inclusion criteria for the 2014 SCP SOR Magic Quadrant was in part based on: “Significant technical capabilities coverage – the vendor must have capabilities in at least 5 of the 9 key technical capabilities of a SCP system of record:
1. Process management
2. Unified data, process and analytical models
3. Scalability to handle large global planning models
4. Performance management and analytics support
5. Collaboration support
6. Ability to deploy segmented supply chain planning models
7. Master data management
8. Integration to transaction systems
9. Ability to propagate plan changes easily across an integrated planning model in a 24/7 environment”
Blue Ridge customer Steve Allgeier, Inventory Control Manager of leading Hardware co-op Home Hardware, affirmed, “Our view into the replenishment process from our suppliers is now transparent and seamless. While boosting accuracy for promotions and planned seasonal purchases, we’ve seen a 10 percent reduction in excess inventory and safety stock and a 2.5 percent increase in service levels to stores.” Allgeier went on to say, “This means reduced inventory costs and maximum return on promotions, while maintaining adequate stock levels and minimal out-of-stocks.”
