Discover the Right Career – Jessica Manca Shares Insights for WIL’s Graduation
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Author and life coach Jessica Manca will share her insight on trusting intuition during Women in Leadership’s graduation celebration for the Vancouver program on February 3, 2014. Manca is a professional coach and author, whose story of inspiration when faced with a life-changing career decision will motivate graduation participants and encourage them to discover their true passions and interests.
The author of “Finding Passion: A Self-Discovery Approach for Navigating Career Crossroads” believes knowing one's passion is the answer to many of life's most difficult questions. Prior to authoring her book, Manca recalled a strong connection to the like-minded group of women at a networking event, feeling inspired and welcome in the WIL community. Manca wished to repay this kindness experienced since participating in WIL and in doing so she helped WIL participants see how small acts of courage can bring a life goal forward.
Manca states, “What I know is that being vulnerable whether it's writing a book, sharing a secret, or expressing your greatest dreams creates meaningful connections. It's only in those moments of vulnerability that you can see you're not alone.”
For women who have chosen to build their leadership skills by participating in the mentorship program, Manca will discuss three insights for self-discovery and growth. These tips support those struggling to find passion and fulfillment in her career.
1. “Learn from every stumble in life.” Disappointment, career burnout, and work stress are key opportunities for elevating self-awareness and making personal change.
2. “Listen to your own wisdom and intuition.” Intuition is the voice inside that gives permission to follow one's heart. Having a hunch, feeling overwhelmed, or intense dreams are signs a person needs a change.
3. “Lead and mentor in everything you do.” Speaking the truth, being vulnerable, and having authentic relationships helps others in meaningful ways that reflect connectedness.
As an expert on finding passion, Manca will encourage graduation participants to pursue their passion. Each graduate will receive a gift copy of the book to further their personal development. Additional tips and self-discovery strategies can be found in Manca’s book, “Finding Passion: A Self-Discovery Approach for Navigating Career Crossroads.”
