SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On December 4th, 2019, Maison Valentino announced an exclusive collaboration with American artist and Cogswell College Instructor Emilio Villalba, coinciding with Art Basel in Miami. Known for hallucinogenic oil portraits, San Francisco-based artist Emilio Villalba is merging the worlds of fine art and high fashion. The limited-edition capsule collection is a reimagined series of iconic Valentino Garavani VSLING Bags. Launching in tandem with the opening night of Art Basel Miami Beach, the evening event was hosted by Colby Mugrabi of Minnie Muse and was widely covered by press, including an event recap and photographs on Vogue.
The private launch event celebrated the partnership with the entire façade of the Valentino store covered with printed, colored pieces of vinyl of Emilio Villalba's work. During the day, the colors and transparencies interact, creating a surreal fluid movement of light. At night the same facade becomes a mixture of colors and shadows.
