Horizon Scholarship Services Offers New Scholarship Prep Program for High School Juniors
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Horizon Scholarship Services is excited to offer a new Scholarship Prep Program to help high school juniors better position themselves to obtain college scholarships when they graduate.
The program will focus on specific areas that students should address during their junior year in order to be in the strongest position to win scholarships, grants and other aid to fund their college education. Some of the important aspects that Horizon will focus on include leveraging the SAT or ACT, maintaining high academic standards, building a strong student resume, researching colleges and scholarship opportunities, and targeting the most appropriate types of scholarships.
“The junior year is such a pivotal time in high school, and it’s imperative that students take the proper steps to focus their efforts when researching and pursuing college scholarships,” said Tracy Barbour, principal of Horizon Scholarship Services. “Our Scholarship Prep Program is designed to help students optimize their efforts during the school year as well as next summer, so they can win the most scholarship funds in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of effort.”
Program participants will also receive a complimentary report entitled You Can Afford to Attend College, which includes valuable tips and resources to support their educational goals. The report addresses important topics such as why/how students can afford to go to college, how to effectively compete for scholarships, and scholarship/grant opportunities that students can use at any institution they choose.
