Commonwealth Care Alliance® Implements Babel and Recaptures an Estimated $6 million in Revenue
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) August 08, 2018 -- Babel Health, LLC, an innovative provider of an integrated, compliant ETL-based SaaS suite of data management and encounter submission software and services to government health plans, is pleased to announce that Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), a not-for-profit, community-based health plan in Boston, Massachusetts, has implemented Babel’s fully integrated SaaS ETL data management platform for their EDPS/RAPS submissions.
By switching to Babel, CCA was able to resolve a myriad of data problems. They were able to improve submission acceptance rates, reduce their error correction effort, and reduce the burden of encounter support on its IT group. Preliminary results show that CCA has increased its acceptance rate from 62% to a 98% acceptance rate and was able to recapture close to $6 million in revenue. Preliminary estimates on the long-term implications for both error correction and the retrospective correction of encounter data suggest that CCA had an estimated $6 million in revenue at risk if encounter submission improvements had not been made.
"CCA selected Babel as a technology partner because we recognized the value they could provide through an intuitive and transparent technology solution that other vendors try to address through expensive outsourcing arrangements that lack autonomy and control,“ said Daniel Teague, CCA’s Senior Vice President of Operations. “In this regard, Babel Health stands alone in a multitude of consulting organizations both in terms of speed to production and ease of use.”
