My Positive Perspective airs broadcast to announce a concert coming to the Charleston area. The concert is called “Cooper Fest” and will be held in remembrance of Brad Cooper.

On October 7, 2014, My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein was joined by Kinetic Hifi and the Fix founder Boyd Strough for an episode that announced the event Cooper Fest. At the start of the episode, Deierlein said, “Cooper fest is in its first year and it was created to honor the life and accomplishments of our dear friend Brad Cooper who was lost in a traffic accident on the morning of July 4, 2014.”

Deierlein then asks Strough to tell people a little about the life of Brad Cooper.” Strough says, “Brad was very hard working and always a great motivator. However, the truly unique thing about him was that although he was certainly that way when it came to Kinetic Hifi or The Fix radio stations, he was also that way about other people.” Strough continues, “If it was another host on Kinetic Hifi or as musician at The Fix, he would always be sure to say or do something that would lift their spirits.”

Deierlein then asks Strough to tell people some details of the Cooper Fest. Strough replies, “Cooper Fest will be held at the Pour House Sunday October 12 at 6 pm. It was great that so many of the musicians have come together with the help of Lindsey Holler. There will be around thirty minute rotations by musicians including Elise Testone, Michael Flynn, Grace Joyner, and many others.”

My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges through positive thinking.
