Concorde Career Colleges Scholarship Foundation Launches New Scholarship
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- In 2012, Concorde Career Colleges created a non-profit Scholarship Foundation to provide their partners with an avenue to help raise money needed to fund scholarships and to ensure students with inadequate funds could receive additional financial support for school.
This year, Concorde Career Colleges’ Scholarship Foundation launched a new scholarship to help qualifying students with the funds needed to complete their education and start a rewarding career in healthcare.
The Kozet Boyd Memorial Scholarship honors Kozet Boyd, a Respiratory Therapist who after spending 20 rewarding and successful years as a Respiratory Therapist at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, joined Concorde’s North Hollywood campus as a Respiratory Therapy instructor and dedicated herself to educating the next generation of Respiratory Therapists.
For 11 years, she imparted Concorde’s Mission and Values on her students and set high standards and expectations for all. During her time teaching in North Hollywood she taught approximately 1,120 while exemplifying Concorde’s Mission and Values.
At her funeral hundreds of current and former students came to pay their respects to this amazing instructor who gave herself completely to helping each student improve their lives.
By providing students with the necessary means to achieve a healthcare education, Concorde continues to assist and prepare students for successful employment.
