Southaven, Mississippi (PRWEB) July 15, 2014
Concorde Career Colleges is launching a new Massage Therapy program at their Southaven, Mississippi campus. The first classes in this new program begin the week of August 25, 2014. Students will be able to complete this program and enter into a career as a massage therapist in as few as 11 months.
Concorde’s Massage Therapy program provides students with the necessary skills to enter the healthcare workforce as a skilled and confident Massage Therapist who will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans and conduct therapeutic massage to treat painful ailments and rehabilitate injuries.
Between 2012 and 2022, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects massage therapy employment growth of 23%, well above the average of 11% for all occupations.* This statistic is evident in Southaven where the campus continues to see an increased demand for Massage Therapists.
Campus President, Tommy Stewart says, “One of the reasons Concorde looked at starting a Massage
Therapy program in Southaven was that Massage Envy is always looking to hire so many therapists. We feel we can make a difference by adding Massage Therapy to the Southaven campus.”
Concorde is delighted to offer students this new opportunity, and we look forward to sharing their successes along the way.
In addition to the Massage Therapy program, the Concorde Southaven campus also offers programs in Dental Assisting, Medical Assistant and Medical Office Professional.
Concorde Career Colleges has been training medical professionals for nearly 50 years. Concorde has 16 campuses in 8 states and is one of the few colleges in America to offer only healthcare education and training.
