North Carolina Representative Tim Moffitt Visits Aeroflow Healthcare
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- Tim Moffitt, who is representing Buncombe County's 116th House District in the North Carolina General Assembly, spent the morning of Tuesday, August 26th with the board of Aeroflow Healthcare and touring our facilities.
Representative Moffitt’s visit was intended to get an overview of the Asheville based durable medical equipment (DME) company and to discuss how the ever changing landscape of healthcare legislation could impact DME providers such as Aeroflow.

In the meeting, Aeroflow’s executive board spoke with Representative Moffitt on a wide array of topics including Medicare, federal funding, competitive bidding, and job growth.
Although Representative Moffitt has been instrumental in passing laws that have stimulated business growth in Buncombe County, he was hesitant to take any credit for creating jobs. “My focus in Raleigh is to provide an environment that encourages growth in the private sector," said Representative Moffitt. "But it’s businesses like Aeroflow that create jobs. Small businesses are the cornerstone of our economy. The best thing that government can do is to get out of their way."
Representative Moffitt also was excited at the prospect of continuing dialogues with Aeroflow to get a stronger perspective on how healthcare laws will affect local businesses.
