Ericom Software, a leader in secure enterprise application access and Zero Trust cyberthreat protection, today announced that Construction Partners, Inc. (CPI), one of the fastest-growing civil infrastructure companies in the U.S., has selected and deployed Ericom Connect to serve as its application delivery and remote access solution.

As a large-scale construction contractor and asphalt producer operating in five southeastern states, CPI’s projects include highways, runways, and other civil infrastructure projects. Personnel working on location require secure on-site access to business-critical applications, such as time entry software, document and project management systems, and accounts payable software which streamlines processes from procurement to payment.

With CPI’s previous remote access system reaching end-of-life, the company explored alternative solutions that could provide its remote workers with access to applications from any location and any device. Eric Bernard, CPI’s Internal Infrastructure and Service Manager, and the IT team conducted side-by-side evaluations of Ericom Connect and other competing solutions. One key requirement of all solutions was their ability to integrate seamlessly with CPI’s existing IT infrastructure.

“We evaluated Ericom Connect on several criteria, including ease of use, performance, and the cost of IT resources required to support our remote users in the field,” said Bernard. “Ericom Connect was selected because it was extremely easy to set up and deploy within our existing IT environment, and the user experience is excellent. Additionally, management is very intuitive, so the team can quickly and easily configure secure remote access to the applications users need for each project.”

Ericom Connect offers enterprise-level functionality, along with a superior user experience. Combining the benefits of advanced grid technology and robust connection brokering, cloud-ready Ericom Connect offers high availability, super-scalability, and enhanced performance.

“CPI’s success in executing multiple large-scale projects is due in no small part to their absolute commitment to providing remote staff with smooth, reliable access to business-critical project and document management applications and accounts payable software,” said James Lui, Ericom Group CTO, Americas. “We are pleased that in a head-to-head comparison of remote access solutions, CPI selected Ericom Connect as the solution that best meets their rigorous criteria.”

Ericom Connect is already supporting CPI employees across dozens of locations. The solution’s unified management console enables CPI to easily onboard additional remote users across geographically-dispersed job sites, as new projects commence.
