ControlByNet Expands Video Surveillance Managed Services Into New Markets - Large Apartments Move from DVR’s to a Managed Server Solution
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- ControlByNet, (CBN), a software development leader in cloud-based and managed services for video surveillance solutions, announced today the expansion of their managed services customer base to include community managers at large apartment complexes.
ControlByNet’s primary offering is hosted, or cloud-based video surveillance for businesses, however the company has been serving larger properties as demand increases for its i-flashback software; its multi-site, single-login video surveillance solution. ControlByNet recently added six apartment communities that chose to move away from their existing analog systems to ControlByNet’s managed video solution.
“This step-up to larger communities was natural for us”, says Ryan Strange, CEO of ControlByNet. “Our hosted solution for smaller communities helped leverage us into larger properties that needed a combination offsite/onsite solution. Many of these larger communities pitted our competitive bids against the ‘big boy’ security companies in Atlanta… we just beat them out with a more innovative and cost-effective solution. The managed server option lets us offer our larger customers the same software in which our hosted customers already have benefitted.”
One of the largest property management companies in the mid-Atlantic region is a customer due to the many benefits of the ControlByNet Solution. ControlByNet’s i-flashback CLOUD provides apartment management companies a single web login that provides access to video surveillance to all of their properties. Additionally, with ControlByNet, the hosted video option is always safe and secure on the cloud versus recorded locally and uploaded later to a storage device or left on a DVR that can be stolen by vandals. Even with the managed server solution the properties’ key cameras are still recorded offsite for an extra layer of security for the property.
Accessible by smartphones, tablets and any computer browser, the ControlByNet solution is software-based and the technology is updated regularly. ControlByNet’s managed solution always has the latest features, whereas a DVR stuck in a closet will only ever have the features that existed when it was installed, and will only support older mobile devices.
“We may not be experts in managing properties or even great salespeople, but we know security and video surveillance and the technology needed to make it easy to monitor more than one camera/site at a time,” adds Strange. “We apply that knowledge to numerous industries that may benefit from our multi-site, single-login video surveillance solution. For example, one of the largest metal recyclers in the country is currently a customer with hundreds of hosted-video cameras already in place. After starting in the Southeast with over 20 sites of cloud-based cameras, that customer will expand the managed and hosted solution to the Northeast and West regions in April.”
