Springfield, MO (PRWEB) May 06, 2014 -- Convoy of Hope’s feedONE initiative and its partners, Hurts Donut and Askinosie Chocolate, have joined forces to fight hunger — one donut at a time. In May, Hurts Donut will feature the “Hunger Hurts” donut, with a portion of proceeds earmarked to feed hungry children around the world through Convoy of Hope.
“We created a donut from scratch for this project,” says Tim Clegg, owner of Hurts Donut.
The donut was specially crafted using Askinosie Chocolate, creamy rice pudding, cinnamon and other tasty ingredients. Each donut purchased provides one meal to a child enrolled in Convoy of Hope’s Children’s Feeding Initiative. Convoy of Hope feeds more than 145,000 children in 11 countries.
Hurts Donut is located at 301 Park Central West in Springfield, Mo., and the “Hunger Hurts” donut can be purchased now through the end of May.
