Loveland, Colorado (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- A 5K hosted by Convoy of Hope, will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Loveland. All proceeds raised from this "Running with Convoy" event will be used by Convoy of Hope to continue the flood relief work it is doing in Colorado.
“Normally our 5K’s support the feeding of children that we do in 11 countries around the world,” says Hal Donaldson, president and co-founder of Convoy of Hope. “With the recent flooding we wanted to focus this 5K on the families of Colorado who are still reeling from the floods.”
Already, Convoy of Hope has sent four tractor-trailers of water, food and supplies to Colorado. The organization has also had their disaster response team and nearly 600 volunteers helping dozens of families clean up their flood-damaged homes.
Registration for this event is open now and is a family event. Participants may walk or run and each registered participant will receive a commemorative shirt, race bib, GPS timing and the satisfaction of knowing that he or she helped Coloradans impacted by the floods.

Registration for the event starts at $15.00 for children ages 7-17 and $30.00 for adults. Children 6 and under are free.
