Meals to be Donated to Convoy of Hope and Local Nonprofits

Humanitarian organization, Convoy of Hope, is partnering with The Pack Shack, a nonprofit in Rogers, Ark., in distributing up to one million meals to hungry families in the United States and abroad this year. The partnership for 2014 launches this weekend at the NWA vs HUNGER! event.

WHAT: NWA vs HUNGER! volunteers will pack up to 500,000 meals. Between 150,000 and 250,000 of those meals will be donated to Convoy of Hope.

WHO: The Pack Shack, Convoy of Hope and several other local nonprofit organizations. Organizations sending teams to pack meals include: Tyson Foods, Walmart Stores, Inc., General Mills, Inc., Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, Co. and others.

WHEN: NWA vs. HUNGER! happens March 7-8, 2014.

WHERE: IBC GO Center, 2555 S. 26th Street in Rogers. Teams will work two-hour shifts.
