Corporate Forum Hires Tom Newberry as VP of Communications in October
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- Corporate Forum is excited to announce the hiring of Tom Newberry to the position of Vice President of Communications. The company formed the position in response to their growth and hired Newberry at the beginning of October.
The growth of Corporate Forum, spurred by companies interested in meeting with the retail investment community and a corresponding uptick in individual investors' interest in the market, prompted the company to create a new position to handle communications. Newberry was selected based on his background in investor relations, along with his intelligence, focus and top-notch overall skills.
“Tom is an asset who brings a wealth of communications experience to help raise visibility of our clients among the very important retail investment community,” said Beth Kurth, President of Corporate Forum. “We are very excited about this addition to our team and we look forward to leaning on his expertise.”
Newberry, a senior corporate communications executive, began his career as an engineer after earning his BSME in Mechanical Engineering in 1982 from the Rochester Institute of Technology and subsequently working in investor, media and governmental relations.
He led Investor Relations and Corporate Communication at energy and biotech companies before coming to Corporate Forum and in these roles established “a language of leadership for target audiences across print, online, and in-person communications."
Newberry previously served on the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) Boston board of directors; he is also very active in community athletics, holding both coaching and board positions.
