All Cosmo Motorsports teams ran Cosmo MuchoMacho and Cosmo RC-17 tires over the successful weekend.
Cosmo Tires' weekend of wins marks an ongoing commitment and support of motorsports. Cosmo Motorsports sponsors autocross via the Cosmo Tires Autocross Track at the Palm Beach International Raceway, and the Kool Kat Series Autocross League raced there, drifting, endurance racing and off-road events. For Cosmo, competition is an excellent way to test tires in the maximum workload of performance driving, and drive innovation in tire design. MuchoMacho and RC-17 tires perform admirably in daytime, nighttime, dry and wet conditions over multiple motorsports events.
Austin Barto and his E36 BMW drift car running MuchoMacho tires took 1st Place in Round 5 of the 2021 Drift Colorado Championship at this past weekend's Wrecktoberfest at the Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, Colorado. Austin's podium finish highlights Cosmo's long-standing relationship with the drift scene, where drift drivers nationwide turn to MuchoMacho tires to make art on the racetrack.
On the endurance racing side, Cosmo sponsored two teams at this past weekend's 24 Hours of Lemons in Bowling Green, Kentucky, featuring a star-studded driver lineup including IMSA Racer Dan Hardee, former Indy Racer Dan Dearduff and Endurance Driver/Automotive Journalist Jonathan Brownfield. While Class A O'Town Racing's Cosmo Tires Audi TT encountered engine problems and was not able to finish, Class C Half-Fast Racing's Cosmo Tires Volkswagen Beetle finished in the Top 5 running Cosmo MuchoMacho tires.
"[MuchoMachos] perform really well in the dry, and in the wet," stated Dan Hardee, a Team Cosmo Driver and IMSA Racer. "[I am] looking forward to putting in some fast laps."
Towards the end of the 24 Hours of Lemons, Half-Fast Racing's Cosmo Tires Volkswagen Beetle was holding strong in the Top 5. The team captain had great things to say about the performance and longevity of Cosmo Tires.
"The MuchoMachos are holding up really well; we've been able to get the whole race out of them. We are really happy with the tread wear," stated Stan Murrell, Half-Fast Racing Team Captain. "Great grip, high performance; the [MuchoMachos] are really hard to beat!"
The next endurance race for Team Cosmo is scheduled for December 2021 in Atlanta, GA. Round 6 of Drift Colorado's 2021 Championship is yet to be scheduled.
