Tulemar Resort Prepares for a Busy Holiday Week in Costa Rica
Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- Easter Holy Week runs from April 13-20 this year. Vacationers from all over the world flock to the popular destination of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica during this time, seeking relaxation in a beach vacation.
“During peak weeks like this one, the beaches in our area receive thousands of visitors,” says Dave Houck, owner of Tulemar Vacation Homes in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. “Thankfully, Tulemar Beach is well-staffed and not as crowded, as use of the beach is largely reserved for guests staying at Tulemar. The public beaches in our area are more heavily impacted and it is important that a community effort is made to restore the beaches to the natural, pristine appearance both locals and tourists to the area enjoy year-round.”
With this purpose in mind, a community beach clean-up event is planned to take place on Sunday, April 20th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“The goal of the event is to bring the community together in a fun atmosphere to help our beaches return to their natural beauty after the crowds from Easter Holy Week depart,” says Dave Houck, commenting on the event. “We hope it is a major success and will be a recurring activity.”
Understanding that motivation may be lacking to come out on a hot Sunday afternoon and pick up trash, the Manuel Antonio Brewing Company, who is sponsoring the event, has come up with an attractive initiative to draw participants.
Naming the event, “Pounds for Pints,” the local brewing company will be rewarding participants with a free pint of cold beer for each full bag of trash collected. Iced tea and soda will be available for children and those who wish to have a non-alcoholic prize drink. Musical entertainment is also planned.
