The West Coast has just gotten just a tad bit hotter thanks to the spotlight being shined on the Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square for earning a prestigious honor from the world’s largest travel website.

The downtown Seattle hotel has received a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for maintaining an overall rating of four or higher on a scale of five as ranked by travelers. The number of reviews received in the last 12 months also played a factor in presenting the award, now in its third year. TripAdvisor sees more than 50 million unique monthly visitors and sports more than 60 million reviews and opinions on businesses related to the tourism industry.

Guests praised the hotel in downtown Seattle for having a “great room … the King bed was amazing and the view was good,” while the staff was “willing to go that extra mile to make sure we were all satisfied.” The location “was ideal and within walking distance of many interesting places to visit.” Guest Mark G from Howard, Colorado, wrote “Wow!! What a great hotel and perfect location. … The staff at this hotel really has the customer as its top priority.” Guest trvlguy39 from North Carolina said the “check in was quick and simple. … The room was clean and well-appointed. The entire staff was friendly.”

These comments from guests put a warm smile on the face of Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square General Manager Gerald Lamontagne.
