U.S. Toy Company/CP Toys and Kansas City Royals Team Up for Toys of Summer
Grandview, MO (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- CP Toys - On Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013, U.S. Toy Company and the Kansas City Royals hosted the second annual Toys of Summer event at Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics. This program was designed by Royals player Jeff Francoeur and his wife Catie as a way to give back to the community. Children’s Mercy is the only free-standing children’s hospital between St. Louis and Denver, making it the perfect choice for the Toys of Summer event. U.S. Toy Company was honored to be a part of this event. They donated a variety of toys from the CP Toys brand to the hospital and clinic to be used by the nearly 400,000 children they see throughout a year.
Kansas City Royals players walked the halls of Children’s Mercy, getting the chance to meet many kids who have been dealt a difficult hand in life. The Royals players, as well as their mascot Sluggerrr, went into the kids rooms and personally hand-delivered the toys donated by U.S. Toy Company. Christie Davis, CP Toys Brand Manager for U.S. Toy Company, said, “we are proud to continue this partnership with Children’s Mercy Hospital and the Kansas City Royals.
