Attorney at Consumer Litigation Associates, P.C., to Serve as Panelist at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Consumer credit reporting attorney Leonard A. Bennett will participate in a panel discussion regarding the challenges that consumers face in the credit reporting market at a public meeting of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Feb. 27.

Attorney Leonard A. Bennett of Consumer Litigation Associates, P.C., will be a part of a panel discussion on the consumer experience in the credit reporting market during an upcoming meeting of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the law firm announced today.

The Bureau invited Attorney Bennett to join CFPB Director Richard Cordray and the CFPB's Consumer Advisory Board on Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon in Washington, D.C. The meeting at One Constitution Center, 400 7th Street, SW, is open to the public.

Bennett, a trial attorney and consumer advocate since 1994 who has litigated individual and class action cases throughout the country, has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars about credit reporting and the rights afforded to consumers. He has been quoted by 60 Minutes, The New York Times, USA Today, Kiplinger's and the Washington Post, among other media sources. Additionally, he has testified before Congress about the Fair Credit Reporting Act and how it functions for consumers and the economy.

On Feb. 27, Bennett will participate in a discussion on the challenges consumers face in the credit reporting market, the progress that has been made and the areas for improvement that remain. Director Cordray will offer opening remarks, and the Board will receive input from consumer groups, community and industry representatives and members of the public.
