Calling All Dogs for Bark For Life’s Dog Competition and Show, a Canine Event to Fight Cancer
Jackson, TN (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- The Second Annual Dick Clinton Memorial Bark For Life fundraiser will take place at the church, located at 1550 Highway 88 South in Alamo, TN on Sunday, October 19th. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. Through their various fundraisers, Alamo First Christian Church has raised $5000 for the American Cancer Society.
This year, there will be a pet photo booth, dog treats, obedience training techniques being presented, as well as the local K9 police dog Agent, John Rhea of the West TN Violent Crime and Drug Task Force from Memphis, and Dogwood Farms’ Dachshunds looking for a home.
“We are looking forward to this event. We raised quite a bit last year, so our goal is to raise even more this year and have a great time doing so. Bring your families and pets and please come out and support such a good cause,” said Chris Sherrod, Bark For Life’s team leader.
In addition, to working on a handful of Relay For Life fundraisers, Chris recently participated in the 11th Annual Harvest Highway Yard Sale. All items not sold were donated to the women’s shelter, Dream Center in Jackson.
