Carousel Industries, a leader in unified communications, managed services, data solutions, and security, announced that it will be supporting the K-12 education vertical with a range of solutions — including its world-class managed services offering — following the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) approval of a $1.5 billion dollar increase in the E-rate program that was passed on December 11th.

Also on December 11th, Carousel hosted a complimentary webinar, which focused on the 2015 E-rate Modernization Order. During the webinar, E-rate expert Ronald Sheps discussed how end-users and administrators can maximize their technology investments through E-rate funding. As the new funding requirements encourage IT administrators to migrate their education-based technologies towards wireless solutions, Carousel is able to provide best of breed managed services to support the challenges they will face in maintaining and operating their new technology infrastructures.

"With the new E-rate funding in now firmly in place, education markets will become much more dependent on mobile solutions and wireless networking," commented Jeffrey Hewson, National Sales Director, Data Networking Group at Carousel Industries."And as the technology requirements at educational institutions become more complex, Carousel is extremely well positioned to help administrators derive the greatest possible value out of investments by taking on critical tasks such as network maintenance and operation."

According to E-rate expert Ronald Sheps, any school regardless of size, will be guaranteed a minimum of $9,200 to bring that facility up to a Wi-Fi standard, regardless of size, as education institutions begin a migration away from voice-related services.

Carousel, which has provided solutions to the education market for over two decades, has built a robust wireless practice that embraces the recent mobility and Bring Your Own Device

(BYOD) trends that continue to shape the market. In addition, the company has longstanding partnerships with wireless market leaders such as Aruba Networks, Extreme Networks, Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Meru Networks and others.

Over the last 22 years, Carousel has served over 1,000 education-oriented customers all across the United States. To learn more about Carousel's products and services for the education vertical, please visit the company's website at: http://www.carouselindustries.com/industry-challenges/education/
