The new loyalty program offers new ways to say ‘Thanks’ to those customers who engage with us on social media and who take the time to write thoughtful product reviews.

Just in time for the onset of “tea season” The Tea Spot is rolling out a new Customer Loyalty Program with their new website launch next month. The new loyalty program encourages more customer participation with new ways to earn points, such as social media sharing, writing product reviews, and signing up for their email newsletter.
Customer centricity has been a focal point of the premium tea retailer, The Tea Spot, in their retail and wholesale programs since its founding in 2004. Their always-on approach to customer service includes Live Chat instant messaging, rapid response-time to email and social media messages, and same day shipping, to name a few. With the growth of their online retail and social media communities, the premium tea company wanted a new way to reward customers for participating in their online communities.
The Tea Spot’s new loyalty program works to incentivize more customer participation. In addition to receiving points for online purchases, this new program allows customers to earn points by sharing products with their friends on major social media communities such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Points will also be rewarded for sharing products with friends by using the email feature on product pages. Customers can earn additional points by writing product reviews after making online purchases.
New customers of the online tea shop will initially receive points for creating an account and for signing up for The Tea Spot’s email newsletter. In addition to earning points for every online purchase, customers will also receive bonus points automatically every year on their birthday.
“We’re thrilled to reward our growing number of loyal customers with more perks than ever before,” states CMO Jessica Kochik. “The new loyalty program offers new ways to say ‘Thanks’ to those customers who engage with us on social media and who take the time to write thoughtful product reviews. This type of community building and customer feedback is critical to continually improving our products and online shopping experience, and is highly anticipated by our customer service team. And the new bonus birthday points are just a fun way to customize this experience.”
The Tea Spot has grown a loyal customer base over the past ten years. After growing a local following during the tenure of their Boulder, Colorado, teahouse for their first five years, they have since focused efforts on their growing a wider customer base through their online tea store, blog, and social media communities.
