Cybersecurity in businesses is essential as cybercrime is one of the most significant threats to America. Companies struggle to find top-notch cybersecurity professionals and academia is working hard to keep up with this demand. Businesses, government agencies and academia’s partnerships are critical to address the country’s cybersecurity workforce shortage. Acknowledging this need, The National Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA) is offering a Premier Sponsorship Package to give businesses a competitive advantage to recruit from the next generation of cybersecurity specialists starting June 18th.
“Academia is dependent on business support in order to address the cybersecurity specialist shortage,” states Dr. John Sands, Co-Principal Investigator of The National Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA), “By sponsoring these competitions and events, companies are investing in and protecting their information security systems and business assets.”
The CSSIA Premier Sponsorship Package is $10,000 and includes:
CSSIA Premier Sponsors will be recognized with signage and formal acknowledgement at each high profile event. Sponsors will participate in multiple camp activities, be able recruit at six different job fairs and will be included in all public relations and marketing materials. In addition, sponsor representatives will be invited to CSSIA’s National Advisory Committee meetings and will have top priority with the CSSIA Academic Partner Internship Network.
For businesses interested in smaller sponsorships, CSSIA offers a Local Sponsorship Package for $5,000. Companies that chose this package will be included to attend the State of Illinois USCC Cyber Camp, Cyber Aces, Illinois Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) and Midwest Regional CCDC. $500 - $1,000 sponsorships are also welcome to provide meals and awards.
