New book inspires readers to heal beyond their pain, create happiness within and beyond themselves
PEABODY, Mass., June 21, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Recent findings from the National Center for Health Statistics show that chronic pain is among the most common reasons adults seek medical care and is linked to decreased quality of life, opioid dependence, and poor mental health. In the United States, an estimated 20.4% of American adults live with chronic pain and 7.4% of adults had chronic pain that frequently limited life or work activities. Having survived this condition himself, author D. G. Fraser decides to share his experiences and wisdom from his continuing 18-year journey of ill health and chronic pain.
"Paths and Passages to Conquering Chronic Pain" (published by Balboa Press) is a mind/body/spirit guide on how to conquer one's chronic pain. The first part of the book details the author's personal story of chronic pain and ill health. It describes how chronic pain changed his normal life into one of chaos, despair and emotional turmoil.
The second part of the book details the author's healing journey. It sets forth the many processes, tools, methods, philosophies, and exercises that he has learned along the way. It guides readers in their choices of healing and shares insights on how to help others who are battling physical pain. Ultimately, it inspires all to heal and to grow themselves in many ways beyond their pain.
"It is highly inspirational, informative, and motivational for changing the many ways that your pain affects you," Fraser states.
