PrideStaff North Dallas once again sponsored and raised funds in support of the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure® on October 18, 2014 in the fight against breast cancer.

Susan G. Komen® Dallas County is the local source for funding breast cancer education, screening and treatment in Dallas County, serving thousands of women in 30 cities. Through events like the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure®, Komen Dallas County funds lifesaving breast health services to help uninsured and underinsured residents in the fight today.

"When I moved to Dallas to open our PrideStaff office, there were several inspirational women in the community," said Amy Linn, Owner PrideStaff North Dallas. "I was most moved by the promise that Nancy Brinker made to her sister that ultimately resulted in Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Having the privilege to be one of their staffing partners, we see the difference they make for women firsthand."

Since 1992, Komen Dallas County has invested more than $22 million in breast health programs and services for medically underserved Dallas County residents. The program serves nearly 2.4 million residents living in Dallas County, where approximately 50.6% of the population are women. Funds go to support vital screening mammograms, diagnostic testing and treatment through the annual Community Grants Program.

"Given our commitment to give back, we began organizing race teams over a decade ago," said Linn. "Three years ago we officially became a sponsor of the event. Each year at the race I am reminded of the impact that one person can have, and each year it is our honor to make one."

Throughout the month, PrideStaff made fundraising an internal competition with employees. PrideStaff made the best of the competition by holding a bake sale, collecting change, and participating in the Susan G. Komen Dallas race, officially raising $3,532 for the cause.
