TravelSolutions by Campbell announces a web search tool that allows travelers to book the best hotel room rates.

TravelSolutions by Campbell is announcing a revolutionary web search tool that allows business and leisure travelers to book the best hotel room rates and save big on travel expenses.

The Dallas-based global travel management company is partnering with tripBAM™, an online booking agency, to offer a technology solution to finding better hotel room rates.

"Our first experience with the product has produced amazing results!” says TravelSolutions CEO Bill Campbell. “One of our staff was able to procure a four-star hotel for $62 per night, saving over $400. On average, we are seeing savings over $100 on 80% of the trips.”

Typically, travelers book room rates that they think are the lowest they can possibly get. They might have booked it on one of the many popular online travel websites. What many travelers don’t know is that hotel room rates fluctuate – up or down – based on available inventory. If there are a lot of vacancies and the hotel wants to fill the room, they often lower the rate.

The tripBAM tool is constantly searching for rates that dip below a preset level at the hotels selected by the traveler. If rates fall below the rate travelers are seeking, they get an email alert from tripBAM. If there’s an opportunity to upgrade to a better room at the same rate, the tool can flag that as well. With the click of a button, the traveler snags the lower rate – and saves as much as 30 percent off what they would have otherwise paid.

Steve Reynolds, president of tripBAM, says: “What makes us different is our maniacal approach to finding the best rate for our customers. We search across clusters of hotels, we search across multiple rate sources, and we search over long periods of time to find these deals.”

Campbell says an added benefit for corporate travel managers is they need not waste valuable time submitting hotel RFPs for negotiated rates. “We consistently beat many corporate negotiated rates, while adding an element of freedom and flexibility back into what is usually a rigid policy-driven experience,” Campbell says.

The tool is entirely free on the Campbell consumer site. Getting started is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Visit or click: http://campbell.tripbam.com.
2. Register and set up a list of hotels to monitor (called a cluster).
3. Start saving.

Corporate clients can sign up with Campbell for microsites for a small fee. The corporate site features:

  •     Unique URL.
  •     Monthly reports.
  •     Automated integration into the managed travel booking process.
  •     Booking and savings data visibility.
  •     Integration into TC3 - Travel Command and Control Center.
  •     Load corporate negotiated rates.
