Dance League Conventions and Competitions Creates TV Pilot for Its First Annual Championships
Orange County, California (PRWEB) May 27, 2014 -- Dance League, a convention dedicated to providing dancers with only the best training, is excited to announce its inaugural Championships event on July 11-13 at the Hilton Costa Mesa, CA. The event will be packed with master classes, a national competition, formal gala, and, most excitingly, a Dance Team Challenge. Dance League’s Team Challenge is unlike anything that the dance convention world has seen before. Dance League invites all dancers to be a part of history with this new program that integrates elements of competition, teamwork, and mentorship in the search to find the ultimate all-star dance team of the year.
Desiree Robbins—master dance technician and founder of Dance League Conventions—is collaborating with Jerry Evans—world-renowned choreographer for artists including Reba McIntyre, Paula Abdul, and Chayanne—to debut the Dance League Team Challenge. Directed by Evans and hosted by Robbins, this event will highlight featured dancers in an action-packed, competitive dance television series.
Through this program, the selected group of dance contestants will be divided into three separate teams, hand-picked and led by designated Dance League faculty. The teams will create a dance number to compete at the Championship’s closing Gala. At this formal event, the Dance League Judges will deliberate and announce the winning title of Dance League Team Champion of the Year.
This series is meant to provide a healthy competitive environment and learning opportunity for students. Participants get the chance to dance with people outside of their studio, receive mentorship from highly esteemed teachers, gain professional experience, and star in an up-and-coming television series.
