DARK PROPHET COMIC BOOK at COMIC-CON Premieres as Part of Groundbreaking Multiplatform Storytelling Franchise Produced by DIGITAL REIGN
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- The first comic book version of the revolutionary multiplatform storytelling franchise, DARK PROPHET “The Light Exposing Darkness,” will officially premiere at the Artist Alley at Comic-Con 2014. The international convention for the fans of comics, popular art, and science fiction will be held in San Diego from July 24th to 27th. DARK PROPHET, the original TV and digital series starring Henry Rollins (Sons of Anarchy, Black Flag, Henry Rollins Band) and rising star, Chase Fein (Suburgatory), premiered on Direct TV’s Launch TV Network in June to 85 million subscribers. This Sci-Fi Action Thriller has been mounting accolades since it premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival Indie Filmmakers Lounge. The series is in the running for two 2014 TV Academy Emmys in the Interactive category, won an NBC/Universal production award, and was an official selection at the WGA Writer & Director Showcase. Additionally, MMA superstar, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, has joined the cast of the TV show.
Digital-Reign, DARK PROPHET’s production company, has partnered with Keyframe-Entertainment to produce the comic book as their first joint venture. Evette Vargas, writer of the comic book, is the co-founder of Digital Reign and the brainchild of DARK PROPHET. Vargas wears many hats as the franchise’s Creator, Writer, Director, and Exec Producer. To produce the comic book, Vargas joined forces with fellow Producers Ricardo Reyes and Carlos Arriaga, Marvel Artist Tony Washington, and production company Keyframe-Entertainment. Julian Reyes, founder of Keyframe-Entertainment, is the Associate Producer of the DARK PROPHET comic book. Keyframe-Entertainment is also the official book distributor in San Francisco.
Comic-Con is the largest entertainment and comic convention held in the U.S. and is an exciting venue for the DARK PROPHET comic book to premiere to its fans. DARK PROPHET will be showcased at a booth in Artist Alley from July 24 – 27th.
