New Book by Darrell K. Jackson Showcases God’s Work in Land Formations
Killeen, Texas (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Author Darrell K. Jackson sees God’s work and image in everyday life. In his new book, “The Sign of Christ: Pictures on the surface of the Saudi Arabian Peninsula created by God, hidden for Millennia” (published by WestBow Press), Jackson uses Google Earth to point out biblical scenes and people on the Saudi Arabian Peninsula for readers and provides companion biblical passages.
Though Google Earth copyrights all of its images, Jackson provides the exact coordinates so readers can find the real images themselves. With detailed drawings, Jackson shows readers how to see biblical images in landmasses and mountains, such as an image of Jesus Christ kneeling in an aerial view of the Saudi Arabian Peninsula.
Jackson uses biblical passages to describe the images and show them in a literal sense. He aims to give readers a clear picture of who God is and how important a deep relationship with God is.
“In Google Earth, it is recognizable to see the pictures of biblical people such as Jesus in the rock features of mountainous regions detailed in this book,” says Jackson. “I provide proper latitude, longitude and viewing altitude to find and look at these many sites.”
An excerpt from “The Sign of Christ”:
“What does it mean for us, now that we have before us a pictorial representation of biblical fact? As we see these fact-based pictures from high above, we can realize that there is a designer of the Earth. If there is a designer, then there is also a purpose. Can you think of anything that was designed but that had no planned purpose?”
“This is truly a large discovery,” says Jackson, “possibly the largest discovery since the dead sea scrolls.”
