"We feel that Curiate has a very strong vision and an experienced team with a proven track record." - Kay Wei, Alibaba Group.

Curiate is pleased to announce it has taken third place in the North American contest of the Create@Alibaba Cloud Startup Competition (CACSC) – the event was held in Silicon Valley at Stanford University. The CACSC is a global contest organized by Alibaba Cloud and is the largest startup event the Alibaba Group has ever hosted. Regional contests were held in the US, UK, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, and in major provinces throughout China.

"Successfully competing against the top startups in North American really reinforces that we have an extremely strong product and a very large market opportunity. It also reinforced that investors find our team very credible," said Jennifer Chen, CEO and founder of Curiate.

Curiate's founding team is from internationally recognized companies: Electronic Arts, Lululemon, Luvo, LYFE Kitchen, and Indochino. Curiate's CTO, Darren Stone, co-founded PayByPhone, which was sold in 2009 for $45 million USD.

"We feel that Curiate has a very strong vision and an experienced team with a proven track record. We hope that by consolidating and connecting more Alibaba Cloud resources, we can help entrepreneurs like Jennifer increase their focus and efficiency when starting new businesses," said Kay Wei, senior cloud architect at Alibaba Group.

Chen added, "We're also very excited to receive the prize of $10,000 in Alibaba Cloud credit. Curiate is a data science company, and we will require a massive amount of computing. We look forward to running our cloud on China's largest and most trusted cloud services provider. We appreciate Alibaba's support."

Curiate was awarded $10,000 USD in Alibaba Cloud credit and has been invited to attend the CACSC world final and annual Alibaba Cloud Conference in Hangzhou, China as VIP guests.

ABOUT CURIATE: Curiate, a data science company, is disrupting the audience measurement industry by analyzing WHY viewers watch TV and on-demand video, versus only measuring how many people are watching.
