David G. Duggan’s New Essay Collection Highlights Christian Struggle with God’s Purpose
Chicago (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- A collection of essays written over the course of 20 years, “Glimpses of Grace: Reflections of a Life in Christ” (published by WestBow Press) by author David G. Duggan presents Duggan’s view of God’s influence in daily life.
When Duggan started writing his essays about his struggle with the Christian faith, a faith he says “promises no temporal reward, but only a cross and a Savior to help you bear it,” he knew he wanted to share his thoughts with others who may question how their lives fit in with some divine purpose.
“I dare say that most people want to find meaning in their lives and to believe that their lives are meaningful, as against abundant evidence to the contrary,” Duggan says. “For life to be anything more than Macbeth’s ‘walking shadow,’ it has to be measured against the principle that we are players in God’s divine story … This book is dedicated to those who have sought their place in this story.”
Duggan hopes his readers will find solace in the book’s message that others struggle with the Christian faith and yet find the strength to continue along a spiritual path.
