New York, NY (PRWEB) May 23, 2014
Sanctri announced today that in honor of Memorial Day, they will be matching donations made using the Sanctri Facebook app to more than 8,000 charities.
According to Josef Katz, VP Marketing, “Many of us have lost family and friends who sacrificed everything in service to our country. Because one way Sanctri helps users remember those they’ve lost is through donations made in memory, we thought this was the proper and fitting way that we could help honor our fallen heroes. We hope to be able to increase our total contributions each year as we grow.”
Sanctri will match donations made using the Sanctri app on Facebook between 12:01 AM EST May 22, 2014 and 11:59 PM EST May 31, 2014, up to a total of $15,000.
Sanctri has also created a hash tag, #MemorialDayMatching, in an effort to inspire other organizations to match charitable donations made in the name of those who have served our country, in whatever manner is appropriate to their organization.
Sanctri is an app that gives the world a better way to deal with death on Facebook. Every year more than 4 million Facebook users will pass away, leaving their pages silenced and frozen in time. Sanctri is a place for friends and family to remember a life that was – and honor the relationship that still is. Anyone can create a memorial page on Sanctri, and then collaborate in contributing thoughts, memories, photos and more. Users can also donate directly through the app to over 8000 charities, in memory. Sanctri has been recognized as an innovator by major news organizations and has forged partnerships with leading non-profit organizations. It is a community to receive guidance and support, and a better way to memorialize on Facebook.
