There is so much illness in the world and society is looking for a new way of healing in general.

When author Deidre Spencer was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer in the leukemia family, she was on the brink of death with only two weeks to live. She went on to survive and underwent a stem cell transplant upon discovering she was sensitive to the chemotherapy treatment. Once again she nearly died, which resulted in her having to learn to walk and eat again. She decided medicine was no longer enough and began her journey of spiritual self-healing.

Spencer invites readers to experience her inspirational new autobiography, “I Believe in Miracles: I am one of them” (published by Balboa Press AU), which gives readers an up close and personal look at her struggle to recover and the emotional and spiritual healing that she experienced.

With the help of an anonymous stem cell donor, Spencer underwent a second transplant. During this time she decided that in order to fully heal she would need to get in touch with her emotional, spiritual, mental and physical sides. By doing this, she says she believes that she not only healed herself, but found who she truly is.

“There is so much illness in the world and society is looking for a new way of healing in general,” Spencer says. “I believe my book will help people change their thinking, not just towards cancer, but all chronic illnesses. De-mystifying the illness and guiding them to look within their own bodies for what is causing it. My book is about giving people belief in their own ‘self,’ and leaving them with the thought, ‘If she can do it, so can I.’”
