Delaware Small Business Owners Have a New Payroll Option
Canton, Ohio (PRWEB) September 29, 2014 -- Patriot Software, Inc., has added Delaware, the 39th state to complete Patriot’s testing, to their expanding service area. Delaware’s 73,000 small business owners can now use Patriot’s acclaimed online payroll.
“It’s a win-win for the state of Delaware and Patriot Software,” says Mike Kappel, president. “Small businesses account for 93% of the Delaware employers, and owners need convenient, accurate software to run payroll and keep up with payroll taxes.”
It is the payroll taxes that cause Patriot to run their rigorous testing before making their software available in individual states. Doug Simmons, accounting specialist, explains, “Delaware ranks 13th for overall state tax climate, which is great for small businesses. With our Full Service Payroll, owners can focus on their businesses while Patriot takes care of the complex tax computations, deposits, and filings.”
The 49th smallest state geographically, Delaware has a labor force over 440,000 and an unemployment rate of 6.2%, hovering near the national rate of 6.1%. The Small Business Administration (SBA) reports a surge in self-employment in Delaware during the past decade.
“Small businesses employ half of Delaware’s workers, and we understand the challenges those business owners face every day. Our mission is to provide easy-to-learn, easy-to-use, affordable online software to help those crucial employers with the time-consuming tasks of payroll and recordkeeping,” states Wendy Smith, customer service manager.
Smith continues, “Our ‘help’ includes free customer service, too! We will even help you set up your account.”
Patriot Software’s founder, Mike Kappel, is a serial entrepreneur himself and has incorporated all the components an entrepreneur would need in their small business software.
“Our online payroll is secure and available 24/7 with any Internet connection. We have no long-term contracts or hidden fees. And both our Basic and Full Service Payroll options include an employee portal,” Kappel asserts.
The employee portal is another timesaver for owners because employees can print their own paystubs, check details on their payroll, and update payroll withholding. Kappel adds, “Let your employees handle those tasks.”
Delaware’s small business owners can explore Patriot’s software with a sample system, check out other services they can add to the online software, and enjoy their first month of service for free.
Smith says, “We are so glad that Patriot Software is now available in The First State!”
