Two of Colorado’s Top 10 family law attorneys practice at Divorce Matters, according to a list published by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA) on 15 April. Divorce Matters is the only Colorado firm to be awarded with multiple honors on the organization’s inaugural list of nationally-ranked family lawyers.
“It’s nice to be recognized by an organization which focuses specifically on family law, and to represent Colorado on a national front,” said Emily T. Roberts, one of the Divorce Matters’ attorneys selected for the Top 10 list and a 10/10 Avvo-rated lawyer. “The most important thing though, is to do a good job for our families and their children.”
Joining Roberts on the Top 10 list is Divorce Matters’ manager and co-founder, Glen B. Goldman, who was also named one of Denver’s Top-Rated Lawyers by Legal Leaders in 2013. The firm was established four years ago in an effort to provide clients with experienced, cost-effective attorneys who understood both the emotional and practical aspects of the law. Mr. Goldman has since earned numerous accolades for his work, including the “highest possible peer review rating for legal ability and ethical standards” by Martindale Hubbell.
“With more than a million attorneys in the United States, the NAFLA’s meticulous, independent selection process resolves the challenge of attorneys claiming to be the best without basis for such a claim, leaving no doubt as to whom the preeminent family law attorneys are in each state,” said Shannon L. Rich, Executive Director of NAFLA.
NAFLA’s four-step selection process took into account attorneys’ professional achievements, bar standings, client and peer reviews, as well as a final screening by the Board of Governors; it was completed independently and without commercial influence.
